CCHS is governed by a diverse nonprofit board of community leaders whose duties include ensuring that all training, policies, practices, and interactions of the organization comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and most importantly reflect a commitment to the dignity of each individual served.
CCHS has an annual operating budget of over $19 million. On average, 91% of our budget is allocated to expenses directly related to programs and services, and 9% to capital and corporate costs. We evaluate operating procedures each year to maximize efficiencies and take advantage of economies of scale.
The majority of funding for CCHS comes from local, state, and federal sources through a reimbursement process for services provided. A small, but growing portion of funding comes from grant awards and individual and corporate contributions.
