The CAC (Career, Activity, Community)

Welcome to the CAC!

The CAC (Career, Activity, Community) provides a variety of opportunities for individuals to acquire new skills and have meaningful experiences through individualized programming, community partnerships, social clubs, employment services and much more.  Our multi-faceted environment allows individuals to explore, grow, express, strengthen, contribute, dream, empower, connect, integrate, and engage. The CAC program includes opportunities to:

Specialized Services
The CAC goes above and beyond to ensure all individuals receive specialized services throughout their experience at our day center. Examples of these specialized services include but are not limited to:
  • Evaluations by Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapist
  • Individualized sensory activities for those needing sensory stimulation
  • Opportunities for community inclusion and outings
  • Onsite nursing to address medical needs while attending the program
  • Employees on staff with Autism Spectrum Certification through the Ohio PATHS project
  • Trained staff and accommodations for dietary restrictions such as texture modifications and thickened liquids
  • Behavior Specialist working with staff and individuals to create individualized plans and increase socialization and independence
Transportation
Transportation from home to the CAC and back to home can be provided for qualifying residents in Franklin County. Transportation Services has a variety of vehicles equipped with wheel chair lifts and tie downs, allowing safe transportation for all individuals.
